Clean Candles
I Think About Ingredients So You Don’t Have To
-
Phthalate-Free
Phthalates are commonly found in fragrances. There’s ongoing research that suggests they may have negative health impacts. I’m not gonna risk it.
-
100% Soy
Many candles are made using parrafin wax, a petroleum production byproduct. Soy is more sustainable, burns cleaner, and lasts longer!
-
Lead-Free
Lead in candles? Not mine! There’s no lead in my wicks. My wicks are a braided cotton that is known for its’ great performance with soy wax.
Eco-Conscious
Considering the environment, at every step
-
Soy wax is a more ecofriendly alternative to paraffin wax. Paraffin wax, which is commonly found in candles, is a byproduct of the petroleum production process. This process has a huge carbon footprint, and I don’t want to support that!
-
I use packing peanuts that are biodegradable and made out of starch (test it! Run them under some water and they will disintegrate), and paper based packaging materials that are recyclable. The only time you’ll find plastic packaging in my shipments to you is if I received some in a shipment to my house, then I’ll reuse it.
-
For everything from candle making to shipping, I do my best to minimize waste. I reuse and recycle whenever possible, and use creative approaches like selling some of my candles in testing to make sure that candles and fragrance oils don’t go to waste as I test new scents!
-
I seek out suppliers who are demonstrating a desire to minimize their negative impact on the environment.
